Hi, we're Rob & Jill
We're Rob and Jill — a husband-and-wife team who've been photographing families around St. Augustine since 2014. We're parents and St. Augustine locals, and after more than a decade we still chase this city's light: the way it pours through the oak canopies and glows off the old coquina walls.
We keep sessions easygoing. Rob sees light and angles like the engineer he used to be; Jill reads the room and knows when someone needs a minute. We'll guide you into the classic portraits you'll want on the wall, and we'll photograph the in-between moments too: the toddler who'd rather dig in the sand, the cousins who can't stop laughing, the kid hiding behind Dad's leg. Those end up being the photos families tell us they love most.

Beach family photography is what we're asked for most, and St. Augustine has a different beach for every family. We'll guide you into the portraits you'll frame, like everyone together at the water's edge or Grandma with the grandkids, then let the kids be kids while we keep shooting. Sunrise or evening, we'll pick the time around your family's day.

St. Augustine Beach
The classic beach-town session. Wide, open sand gives big families room to spread out, the wooden dune crossovers frame everyone heading down to the water, and the St. Johns County Ocean Pier gives your photos a landmark you'll recognize every time you look at them. If you're staying in a rental or hotel along A1A Beach Boulevard, we can meet you right there.
Vilano Beach
North of downtown, Vilano has a rock jetty next to rolling dunes and sea oats. The rocks are great for sitting portraits and texture, and the soft grasses are great for walking shots. At sunrise the sun comes straight up over the Atlantic, and in the evening the sky over the river often turns pink and blue behind you.
Crescent Beach
About three miles south of St. Augustine Beach, Crescent is long, open Atlantic beach with dune grass behind you and gentle surf in front. The kids have room to run, and we have room for wide, airy frames of the whole family against sea and sky. Crescent Beachfront Park has restrooms, showers and picnic pavilions, which makes it easy with little ones.
Anastasia State Park
About ten minutes from downtown, Anastasia is the island's wild side: more than four miles of beach, nothing on the horizon but sand, sea and sky, and boardwalk crossovers through the sea oats. Add the calm water of Salt Run or the shaded oaks and palmettos of the hammock trail, and you get two looks in one session.

Vacation & Extended Family Photos in St. Augustine
Many of the families we photograph are visiting from out of town: a week in a beach house, a hotel stay on the island, or everyone flying in for a birthday or an anniversary. We'll meet you on the sand, at your rental or hotel, or at a spot downtown. Trena's family started inside their beach house, the kids in the middle of a foosball game, then we all headed out to the dunes and boardwalk.
Booking from home is easy. Send us your travel dates, where you're staying and how many people are coming. We'll suggest a location and a session length and sort out the details by email, text or phone, so when you arrive all you have to do is get everyone dressed. Every booking comes with a backup date, and we'll plan it around your trip. We'll watch the weather with you and adjust if we need to.
We plan ahead for big groups. We've organized extended family photos for groups of 30+: the full group first, then each household, grandparents with the grandkids, siblings and cousins. Kimberly's family wanted everyone in the frame on their St. Augustine Beach vacation, all the siblings and all the grandkids. We worked through every combination by the dunes before the full group shot at the water's edge.
The 30 Minutes session ($450) works well for small groups. Most families choose 60 Minutes ($650). When grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are all coming, the Extended Session ($900) gives us time for every grouping and more than one location. Short, sweet, and seasonal: 20-30 minute St. Augustine mini sessions at a curated location on set dates — during Nights of Lights and the holidays, spring blooms, and summer beach evenings. Ask to be notified when dates are announced.

How It Works
1.Inquire
Tell us who's coming and what you're picturing: the beach, downtown, or right outside your rental. We'll check availability and suggest the right session and spot.
2.Plan
Once you book, we settle the location, the time and a plan that keeps things easy, especially with little ones and big groups. For outfits, coordinate rather than match. Our what-to-wear guide has full color palettes.
3.Shoot
We handle the posing, the groupings and the light. You show up and be yourselves. Expect a mix of candid moments and a few classic portraits, for whatever length you booked: 30 minutes, 60 minutes or an Extended Session.
4.Gallery
Your full edited gallery — with download and print rights — delivered in about 3 weeks.
Families are where we started — photographing families since 2014; it's the first work we ever did.
We're parents too — patience isn't a technique, it's how we run the session.
A backup date is built in — weather, wind, or a kid having an off day: reschedule without the scramble.
Our family sessions are $450 for 30 minutes, $650 for 60 minutes (our most popular) and $900 for an Extended Session with multiple locations. Every session includes 80–120 edited images, an online gallery with downloads and print rights. No hidden fees.
The same pricing applies at every beach: St. Augustine Beach, Vilano, Crescent or Anastasia State Park. The 60 Minutes session ($650) is our most popular for beach days. It covers one or two locations and an outfit change if you want one.
For big groups, the Extended Session ($900) gives us time for the full group and every smaller grouping (grandparents with grandkids, siblings, cousins, each household), plus more than one location if you'd like. We've organized groups of 30+. Tell us your headcount when you get in touch and we'll recommend the right session.
Yes. Every session includes all your edited photos (80–120 images) in an online gallery with downloads and print rights, so you can print wherever you like. Your full gallery arrives in about 3 weeks.
It depends on the package: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or an Extended Session for big groups and multiple locations. Most families choose 60 minutes, which leaves time for groupings and an outfit change.
Kids are unpredictable—that's part of what makes them wonderful. We embrace the chaos and know how to work with wiggly toddlers and reluctant teenagers. Some of our best work comes from unscripted scenes. Relax and let them be kids.
Yes, both. Our beaches face east, so at sunrise the sun comes up over the Atlantic in front of you. Evening sessions bring soft light and color in the sky over the dunes. We'll plan the time with you around nap schedules, dinner plans and your vacation days.
As soon as you know your dates. Tell us the window you're thinking about and we'll let you know what's open. Mini sessions and holiday dates fill quickly, so join our email list for early access. If your trip is coming up soon, ask anyway. We can often fit shorter notice.
Yes. Whether you're in a beach house, an Airbnb or a hotel on the island, we're happy to meet you there. Some families start with a few photos at the rental and then walk down to the sand together.
