Best Photo Time Whenever the ducks are willing to cooperate

Okay, full disclosure up front: this isn't a wedding venue. "Casa Futrell" is the name a few friends started using as a joke for our actual backyard — the one behind our house, where our photography studio also happens to sit. At some point the joke got specific enough that it needed its own page, so here it is: the "venue guide" for a venue that doesn't take bookings.

This is private property. It's where we live and where we work, not a rental space, and it's not available to hire for your wedding — inside joke, not an offer. If you found this page, you're either in on the bit already or you clicked something you shouldn't have. Either way, welcome.

If we ever did shoot here, this is roughly what you'd be working with:

The Studio

Our actual photography studio sits right on the property — the same one we use for real client sessions. It's a genuine working studio; it just happens to also be a few steps from the yard.

The Pond

There's a pond out back. It is exactly as scenic as a backyard pond can be, which is to say: fine, in decent light, if you don't look too closely at the algae.

The Ducks

A small, self-appointed committee of ducks lives on and around the pond. They were not consulted about this page, but they would almost certainly demand top billing if they had been.
