What a perfect way to celebrate a baby turning one! After our original date got rained out, we lucked into one of those rare warm December mornings that felt like a gift. There's something so special about photographing family you've watched grow up - I've known Cody his whole life, shot his wedding, and now here we were chasing around his adorable daughter on Vilano Beach. She was absolutely fearless, giggling as they tossed her up in the air and crawling all over that blanket like she owned the place. The golden hour light was incredible, and watching these three together - from the sweet quiet moments to A's infectious belly laughs - reminded me why I love doing this so much.
