About Us
We're Rob and Jill — a husband-and-wife team who've been photographing engagement sessions around St. Augustine since 2014. We're parents and St. Augustine locals, and after more than a decade we still chase this city's light: the way it pours through the oak canopies and glows off the old coquina walls.
Our approach is easygoing and documentary. Rob sees light and angles like the engineer he used to be; Jill reads the room and knows just when you need a quiet minute. We're there to capture your day the way it actually feels — the belly laughs, the happy tears, the small in-between moments — not to stage it.

Not Just Engagements
Married, dating, or just because — no wedding on the calendar required
A couples session and an engagement session are the same shoot with a different reason behind it. Plenty of the couples we photograph aren't planning a wedding at all — they're celebrating an anniversary, marking a milestone, getting portraits before the baby arrives, or they just want good photos of the two of them for once. As your St. Augustine couples photographer, we treat it exactly the same relaxed way: natural prompts, real moments, and the two of you somewhere you love.

An anniversary photoshoot in St. Augustine is one of our favorite reasons for a couples session. Whether you're celebrating your first year or your fiftieth, we keep it relaxed and unscripted at the places that mean something to you — the fort, the Bridge of Lions, a quiet historic street, or the beach at golden hour. Spanish Renaissance arches, a stone bridge over the koi pond, and soft, filtered light. The enclosed courtyard feels private and intimate — an easy place to settle in, even if you're nervous in front of the camera.

Every season in St. Augustine has its own light
There's no wrong time for an engagement session here — but each season changes the light, the crowds, and the feel. Here's what to expect through the year.
Our favorite windows — comfortable temperatures, softer light, and long golden hours. These months book up fastest, so reach out early if you have a date in mind.
Downtown glows with millions of white lights through the holiday season. We mix before-dark and after-dark frames so you get warm bokeh behind you — one of the most magical times to shoot in the historic district.
Lush and green, with the beaches at their best. We schedule around the heat — early morning or the hour before sunset — for soft light and smaller crowds.
Timing
Flexibility for every timeline
Timing is flexible. Some couples book a year in advance, others a month before the wedding. If you want the photos for save-the-dates, aim for at least 3-4 months out. But there's no wrong time — whatever works for your schedule.
Sessions can be bundled with our St. Augustine wedding photography packages or booked separately. Either way, you'll walk into your ceremony already comfortable with your photographers and confident about being in front of the camera.
Many of our engagement clients are also wedding clients — having the same photographer through your whole journey means less stress when the big day arrives. We also photograph St. Augustine elopements for couples planning a more intimate Florida celebration, and offer anniversary photoshoots for couples who want to mark a year, five, or twenty-five with new portraits at the spots they love.

Spring and fall are our favorite windows — comfortable weather, softer light, and long golden hours — so those months book up fastest if you have a date in mind. Otherwise it really comes down to your own schedule and whether you need the photos for save-the-dates.
We offer two options: a 30-minute session at one location, or a 1-hour session at two locations. The 30-minute session is great for couples who just need clean, simple portraits. The hour session gives you time for outfit changes, multiple spots, and more variety.
We'll send you a detailed style guide after booking. General advice: coordinate but don't match exactly, avoid busy patterns, and choose clothes you feel confident in. Bring a change of outfit if you want variety.
Almost everyone says this! We give you prompts and movements—walking, whispering something funny, slow dancing—so you're not just standing there stiffly. By the end, you'll forget the camera is there.
Absolutely. Pets are welcome at outdoor sessions. We've had dogs, cats, and even a parrot join us. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Yes! We offer hidden proposal photography where we blend in and capture the moment. Many people book both—the proposal, then a full session later.
