We hired them for our wedding in Glacier National Park and to say I was blown away by them in a massive understatement. Since this was a full weekend affair, Jill had the entire weekend mapped out of where and when we would be doing portraits, including the 2+ mile hike they made with their gear (uphill, both ways, in the snow) to get candid shots of all our friends and family. "Just thinking of Rob makes me smile! From when we first met in person to talk about our wedding day, until he emailed me my link full of pictures, it was such a pleasure working with him!! Rob showed up way earlier than contracted on our wedding day with two cameras literally strapped to him in some crazy leather holster. Let me just say our wedding day was the rainiest day ever in St. Augustine, FL. Rob and I had planned so many great things outdoors for our photos and then when it was monsooning outside he came up with backup plans so quickly! We were supposed to get married on the Lightner Museum bridge in the courtyard and my mom and wedding planner decided that it would be better to have it at the small chapel instead. About 5 minutes before the ceremony was to begin it stopped raining and they moved everything outside! For anyone who knows anything about photography, that changes EVERYTHING for the photographer. Rob quickly got all of his equipment changed and set up for a last minute outdoor wedding!! I didn't notice this at the time but my bridesmaids said how Rob was literally in bushes/almost in the pond around the bridge to get the best shots. People are still in shock when I show them my pictures and tell them that all of these pictures were taken by ONE photographer. It rained on and off for our entire wedding day and Rob insisted on getting a couple of shots in the rain. I can't even tell you how amazing these shots are!! Did I mention I got all of my photos in THREE WEEKS?! If you do not hire this man, you are doing yourself a disservice! He is so fun, lighthearted, professional and flexible! All of my guests loved him and could not stop commenting on how awesome he was. Please don't go cheap on your photographer for one of the most important days of your life! Rob is the kind of guy that will meet you and you'll feel like you've known him for 10 years; he's the kind of guy that will get you hot chocolate on a whim for your husband and you because it was chilly out, and will be your bouncer to make sure you've gotten a chance to eat with all the craziness going on during your wedding- all while still managing to take amazing shots the whole time. My only regret is that me and my husband live out of state, and that we may have to return to Jacksonville if (read- WHEN) we want to hire them again in the future. "Awesome shots and Customer Service Our son’s hippie-modern-Orthodox wedding took place in 2014 on Jacksonville Beach. The before-wedding festivities and reception were held at the (now defunct) Freebird Café and Music Venue. There is no question that we (unintentionally) threw a lot of demands and obstacles at Rob. In spite of this, Rob was determined to capture this amazing wedding with absolutely beautiful shots. Not sure if Rob had worked a Jewish wedding before but he was in total sync with the event as it unfolded. Initially, we paid for a certain number of photos but when it can time to choose, we couldn’t narrow it down. We ended up purchasing all the shots and managed to create albums on Shutterfly for the bride and groom and other family members. Fast forward as our son and daughter-in-law prepare to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary (with our beautiful grandson in tow!) and we realized that the couple had never ordered their “official” album that was included in the package. In spite of “The Cloud,” we hold to the belief that some traditions are sacred and when these kids are close to celebrating their 37th anniversary as we just did, they will delight in going through a formal album of their special day. So, we reached out to Rob and Jill (on a whim) and asked if there was any way this album could still be produced so many years later. To our surprise, they determined the photos were still accessible and could create a most gorgeous wedding album ready to give as a gift! The album is truly a treasured keepsake and the photos from that day a sweet memorial of family members no longer with us and a tribute to the tradition and love surrounding us on that day."

"Our first meeting took place at his house, where we just sat and talked for a little over an hour and a half. Rob really wanted to get to know us and our lifestyle so that he can gauge how they would take photos. Even though this was the first time meeting them, it felt like we were at a good friend’s house catching up on old times and telling stories. This really showed us how passionate he is about what he does and when the meeting concluded, we (wife and I) gave each other a look that said “SOLD”. From here, they set up a timeline and schedule for us so we would know what to expect (and when). This way, there were no surprises and expectations were clear and understood. Throughout the wedding planning process, we kept Rob and Jill informed so that they could effectively plan their schedules and everything went nearly perfect without any problems. During our wedding, I told Rob that he and Jill are in charge of everything so that events go smoothly. They were all over the place taking thousands of pictures. They had the timeline planned so that afterward, we went to fort to capture some beautiful light during Nights of Lights. I mean it’s not JUST the pictures they took, but Rob actually went and laid down in a wet, mud hole to get a natural reflection shot off the water. They also set up a camping plot (tent included) at their house and started a fire so they could capture my wife and I doing our thing. The results were nothing short of stunning. After a couple of weeks of having the photos in post-production, the pictures were done and we were extremely happy of the results. Overall, they took approximately over 4,000 pictures. After they went through each one, they picked the ones they thought were winners and we ended up with over 1,300 photos that make us feel that we are right back at our wedding day. If there was one thing that went completely right, it was the fact that we hired the right team to document the happiest day of our lives."

As we sat at Panera with Rob, we felt like we were chatting with an old friend. We instantly felt comfortable with him, which was my number one priority (photography can be a very personal, intimate exchange, so it was important to me). It was refreshing to see someone so passionate about their art, and it was clear that Rob loved photography. The images he shared with us were breathtaking, and we couldn't wait to see how our engagement shoot would turn out. We chose to do a sunrise shoot on Vilano beach. Regardless of the cold temperatures, and battling a nasty cold, Rob was beyond excited to be there. He was so patient as he instructed the poses we requested, and came up with additional creative poses that we ended up loving. The shoot was so much fun, even my husband enjoyed it. On the day of our wedding, Rob wanted to show up early, which I was delighted to oblige. As my girls and I got ready, he stood back and silently captured all of our special moments. He was so professional, and fun! My girls and family loved him and kept raving about how awesome he was. He kept us all on schedule and made sure everything ran smoothly. He coordinated with our venue, band and DJ, so everyone was on the same page throughout the entire night. We never had to worry about a thing. "This is just a partial review in that I have only watched Rob in action shooting my daughter's bridal portraits today in Flagler College in St. Augustine, and will share more when he actually shoots the wedding in 2 1/2 weeks, but I just couldn't wait to share! "Words aren't enough to express how amazing Rob was for our wedding. He is a stunning photographer and his final product speaks for itself. "I met rob through the local yoga studio. He has great kids and his wife is awesome! When researching photographers we found that rob had great prices, quality work and was pretty prompt and reliable. We really liked the look of robs work. He did a great job on our engagement photos. He captured our engagement party beautifully. It was rainy and windy and he made the best of it! The photo booth was awesome. He is super professional and funny at the same time. Our wedding was a destination wedding on a horse farm. We had a HUGE wedding party, in the middle of no where, and it rained all day. Rob was a trooper in the rain, and the photos are AMAZING. "I hired Rob and his 2nd shooter, Sarah, for the entire day of my wedding. They came to the beach house when we were getting ready and were able to capture every moment while we were getting ready. Rob organized the "first look" and it was a beautiful moment. Sarah jumped in the limo with us to the wedding venue and got some great shots of the entire wedding party pre-partying (a little non-traditional, but it was so fun!). Rob was so great at capturing all those special candid moments during our wedding and reception, and he was also wonderful with the little kids! "Rob Futrell was a complete God send! We found each other a month after I was engaged to my husband. Stressed with so many wedding to-do's, I was sure I was not going to be able to find a photographer in our budget. Funny how God provided though.
