More details Less details
Old Spanish Quarter is Jacksonville's newest wedding spot, and it's fast becoming one of our favorites. Set on 95 acres of working farmland, this Spanish Revival venue blends historic character with modern style. Every angle looks great on camera.
The property dates back to the 1800s but has been fully updated. Exposed white brick walls, handmade tile floors, and black iron chandeliers give it a feel that's both elegant and relaxed. Every corner looks great in photos.

The Design Details
Every detail was chosen with care. The exposed white brick makes bright, clean backdrops. The handmade tile floors add texture and warmth. The black iron chandeliers bring drama without stealing focus. It's a dream venue for photos.
Why We Love Photographing at Old Spanish Quarter
The exposed white brick walls are the first thing we noticed when we toured this venue. White brick bounces light well. It fills in shadows and gives skin a clean, bright look. We use those walls for bridal portraits, detail shots, and couple sessions. The texture adds depth without pulling focus from the people.
Both the bridal suite and groom's suite were clearly built with photos in mind. Natural light flows in, the backdrops are thoughtful, and there's room to move. That care makes getting-ready photos feel easy, not forced. The tile floors and iron chandeliers add richness to every wider shot.
Then there are the 95 acres of farmland outside. During golden hour, the open land catches warm light across the whole horizon. The contrast between the polished interior and the wide-open farm gives us two totally different looks from one venue.

The interior has gorgeous exposed white brick that makes a clean, bright backdrop. The texture and light here are great for portraits - modern yet timeless.
The Covered Pavilion
A well-designed pavilion space that works for both ceremonies and receptions. The look blends historic charm with modern comfort.
The Courtyard
An intimate outdoor space perfect for ceremonies or cocktail hours. The Spanish Revival architecture frames portraits beautifully.
The Farmland & Pastures

Photographer Tips
We're Preferred Vendors Here
As preferred photographers here, we know this venue inside and out. We've worked with the team and know the light at every hour. We know exactly where to be for the best shots.
New Venue, Great Value
As a newly opened venue, Old Spanish Quarter has first-year pricing. You get a beautiful property at a great price while they build their name.
The Suites Were Built for Photos
At many venues, getting-ready rooms are an afterthought. Not here. Both suites were designed with photos in mind. Natural light, clean backdrops, and smart details.
95 Acres of Options
The working farmland isn't just scenery - it's portrait space. We head out to the pastures for sunset shots that feel like you've left the city behind.
Bring Your Own Everything
The venue has a caterer's kitchen, but you bring your own caterer and drinks. That freedom lets you go any direction - from your favorite taco truck to a plated dinner.
Planning Your Timeline
We don't publish generic timelines. They're useless without knowing your date. Here's why:
A 5pm ceremony works great in summer. In winter, it means dark portraits. Your timeline must match your actual date and what matters most to you.
Lighting & Golden Hour
Natural light varies throughout the day. We recommend discussing specific timing based on your ceremony location and time of year.
Time for Photos
We recommend 45-60 minutes for portraits at Old Spanish Quarter, covering the ceremony area, reception space, and grounds.
Timeline Strategies
Sunset Portraits
Want golden hour magic? We work backwards from sunset. End the ceremony 60-90 minutes before. That gives time for family photos, couple portraits, and the best light.
Brunch or Daytime
Morning ceremonies and daytime receptions mean good natural light all day. Great for summer when afternoons get warm.
Venue Timing Notes
- Music curfew at Midnight (Fri/Sat), 11pm (Sun)
