Gabriela's friends had set up an elaborate photoshoot around St. Augustine, and she had no idea what was really going on. The real plan: Beltran was waiting in the Lightner Museum Courtyard, and when her friends sent her out onto the stone footbridge, he came walking from the other side. They met in the middle, he got down on one knee with the water lilies blooming in the pond below, and Gabriela said yes — the two sealed it with a kiss right there on the bridge. Afterward we pulled the proposal team into the frame under the colonnade lanterns for a ring-showing group shot, then wrapped up with portraits in the courtyard and along the palm-shaded walkways.
