Giselle & Duncan’s Wedding

Giselle is an event coordinator at the White Room, so when it came time for her own wedding, the whole White Room team shut the place down and showed up — you'll recognize some familiar faces in these photos. The ceremony took place at Bowing Oaks on Jacksonville's south side, under a white flowering arch set between Spanish moss-draped oaks, with wood lanterns lining the aisle and grandmothers walking in to kick things off. One bridesmaid in blue had hands clasped to her face the moment she saw Giselle, and a little one made it into the family portraits too.

The shoes told part of the story — Giselle in white Keds with "Hilbert" written across the heel, Duncan in black dress shoes with printed socks. Kris from Footloose DJ'd the reception and set up a full cloud for the first dance, plus cold sparks and CO2 cannons the couple fired themselves. The night wrapped up with a lightsaber duel: Duncan's groomsmen challenged him, he worked his way through the crew, and the final boss turned out to be his dad — who ended up flat on the floor before they all hugged it out.
