We met Kris early in our wedding career — probably our second or third wedding ever — and he's been a constant ever since. He's just a wonderful guy: the kind who actually picks up the phone when you call. Over the years he's become more than a friend; he's a mentor. When we've got a question that's complicated and doesn't feel straightforward, we can go to Kris — he always listens, and then gives us the perfect answer.

The thing that stands out — every single event — is the check-in. Kris doesn't jump into the next part of the night until he knows we're set.

That reliability shows up all day long. Before the first dance, before the cake cutting, before the toasts wrap and the dance floor opens, Kris finds us and makes sure we have what we need before he moves the night forward.

What we love most about working with Footloose is that they know exactly how to bring the level of party you're after. Sometimes it's nice, chill music all night. Sometimes it's an all-out rager — the kind where, as photographers, we're honestly a little scared for our own safety. One of our favorite stories is a Footloose reception where the dance floor got so out of control the building was literally shaking; we genuinely wondered if we might fall through the floor. We didn't — and everyone had the time of their lives. That's the thing about a Footloose party: it leaves a mark, and everybody walks away having had an amazing time.

They're also respected by everyone in this market — a favorite of venues like The White Room — and their photo booth actually gets used: open-air setup so groups of friends can pile in, props that aren't cheesy, and prints that hit guests' hands fast enough that people line up for a second round.
