About The Wedding Authority
The Wedding Authority has been operating in St. Augustine for over three decades. Founded by Bill and Carla Young, they manage the Lightner Courtyard as well as the Amore Wedding Chapel — performing ceremonies, coordinating weddings, and hosting events in both spaces.
Their team is Miss Carla, Bill, Miss Barb, and Coogan. Bill is an officiant, and our couples love his demeanor and his wonderful energy — he's performed 40 or 50 ceremonies with us over the years. Coogan also performs ceremonies. And Miss Barb keeps everything running smoothly, making sure the permits are taken care of and facilitating all the things behind the scenes.
