EME's company event at Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach had a murder mystery theme for the first night — each attendee received an envelope with their role and resources they could use to investigate and bribe other players, and then during dinner, the murder happened. From there, everyone got to work solving it, which made for a natural icebreaker at what was also a networking event bringing together people from across the country, some meeting face to face for the first time. The step-and-repeat banner at the entrance, the tropical shirts, the "SECURITY" tank top, the caution tape — everyone leaned into it. The whole thing played out on the beach side of the Embassy Suites with the St. Augustine pier and the Atlantic in the background as the sun went down.
