A photographer's guide to Jacksonville's newest Spanish Revival venue
About Old Spanish Quarter
Old Spanish Quarter
More details Less details
Old Spanish Quarter is Jacksonville's newest wedding destination, and it's quickly becoming one of our favorites. Set on 95 acres of working farmland, this Spanish Revival venue combines historic character with contemporary design in a way that's uniquely photogenic.
The property traces its origins to the 1800s but has been beautifully reimagined for modern celebrations. Exposed white brick walls, handcrafted tile floors, and black iron chandeliers create an atmosphere that's both elegant and approachable - the kind of space where every corner photographs beautifully.

Best Photo Locations
The Exposed White Brick Walls
The interior features stunning exposed white brick that creates a clean, bright backdrop. The texture and light quality here are fantastic for portraits - modern yet timeless.
The Covered Pavilion
A beautifully designed pavilion space that works for both ceremonies and receptions. The architecture blends historic charm with contemporary functionality.
The Courtyard
An intimate outdoor space perfect for ceremonies or cocktail hours. The Spanish Revival architecture frames portraits beautifully.

Photographer Tips
We're Preferred Vendors Here
As preferred photographers at Old Spanish Quarter, we know this venue inside and out. We've worked with the team, understand the light throughout the day, and know exactly where to capture the best moments.
New Venue, Great Value
As a newly opened venue, Old Spanish Quarter offers debut year rates. You get a stunning property at an excellent price point while they build their portfolio.
The Suites Were Built for Photos
Unlike many venues where getting-ready spaces are an afterthought, both the bridal and groom's suites here were designed with photography in mind. Natural light, clean backdrops, intentional details.
95 Acres of Options
The working farmland isn't just scenery - it's portrait territory. We'll venture out to the pastures for sunset shots that feel like you've escaped to the countryside.
Bring Your Own Everything
The venue includes a caterer's kitchen but you bring your own caterer and drinks. This flexibility lets you customize completely - from your favorite taco truck to a plated dinner.
Planning Your Timeline at Old Spanish Quarter
We don't publish generic sample timelines because they're useless without knowing your wedding date. Here's why:
A 5pm ceremony works beautifully in summer but means portraits in the dark in winter. Your timeline needs to be built around your actual date and what matters most to you.
Light at Old Spanish Quarter
Natural light varies throughout the day. We recommend discussing specific timing based on your ceremony location and time of year.
Time for Photos
We recommend 45-60 minutes for portraits at Old Spanish Quarter, covering the ceremony area, reception space, and grounds.
Timeline Strategies
Sunset Portraits
Want that golden hour magic? We work backwards from sunset. Ceremony ends 60-90 minutes before, giving time for family photos, couple portraits, and catching the best light.
Brunch or Daytime
Morning ceremonies and daytime receptions mean lots of beautiful natural light all day. Great for summer when afternoons can get pretty warm.
Venue Timing Notes
