Lydia and I first crossed paths at the Treasury on the Plaza where she works. She's the kind of person who lights up a room—a hard worker with a genuine warmth that makes her such a joy to photograph. When she reached out about senior pictures, the timing couldn't have been better. I'd been building a lo-fi camera lens and needed to test it out, so we made it a creative collaboration. We spent the day at Washington Oaks State Park exploring the gardens and oak canopy, then headed to the beach as the sun went down. Some of these have that dreamy, vintage quality from the experimental lens—I think it fits her free-spirited vibe perfectly.
