I met Lacey and Josh when they won an engagement session through a promotion at the Old Spanish Quarter. Lacey was excited about doing pictures at Congaree and Penn -- the same spot where Josh proposed and where they're planning to host their rehearsal dinner (almost a year to the day from when Josh proposed). Josh wore his father's vintage corduroy jacket paired with ostrich boots, and Lacey showed up in a white dress despite the February chill without a single complaint. We started the session recreating some of the pictures they took the evening they got engaged, then worked our way around the property -- the dock over the pond, the live oaks draped in moss, even a carved boulder tucked in the back of the property. When we walked past the tractor, I jokingly asked if Lacey wanted to hop up, and she didn't hesitate. She's down for anything. They ended the session with a few pics on my film camera while the last bit of light filtered through the trees.
