We met Mary and Gabe when our photographer buddy Greg Olech recommended us for their wedding. We hit it off instantly. We knew their day was going to be fun, but nothing could have prepared us for their epic throwdown at the Fountain of Youth.
They were working with some of our favorite vendors — Shannon from Everleigh Events, Kara from The Perch, our friends from The Perfect Pour serving up amazing drinks, and of course the Fountain of Youth crew. The bridal party kicked things off in Princess and the Frog getting-ready shirts, the bridesmaids wore yellow, and colorful wildflower bouquets tied the whole palette together.
One of the coolest details we've ever seen at a wedding was their hand-painted face hole cutout board with an alligator riding past the St. Augustine lighthouse. Lovely blue skies and a gentle breeze set the stage under the venue's oak canopy for their ceremony, and a white peacock even crashed their couple portraits. The vintage 1940s black convertible on Magnolia Avenue was breathtaking. The best surprise of the night — as fate would have it, the carnival was underway at the mission grounds next door, and at 9pm a massive fireworks display went off. We timed it perfectly to capture some portraits with the show going off behind them. They closed out the night on a packed dance floor and an Old Town Trolley exit.
Thanks for looking
There are plenty more where these came from — and if you're planning your own wedding, we'd love to hear about it.
