Jazz and Keem told us their day wasn't going to be like other weddings, and they were right — start to finish, it was full of firsts. Jazz got ready in the cottage with her close friends and family, the energy relaxed and everyone in their robes before the blue and lace came out. She and Keem did a first look and shared private vows, and since it was a July scorcher tipping into the 90s, we moved bridal party and family portraits into the air-conditioned magnolia ballroom. The breeze off the inlet kept everyone cool during the ceremony, and afterward we headed back to the ballroom, which Jazz's mom had decorated perfectly.
Spices Caribbean Restaurant handled the food, and when they saw how much we liked it, they made sure we got seconds. For the reception, Jazz changed into a silver balloon dress her mom made — genuinely unlike anything we'd seen — and after music, dancing, and a first dance in her blue gown, the night ended with a bubble exit.
