Choko gave us one instruction before the wedding: photograph it like it was our own. We took that seriously. The morning started at Casa Monica Resort & Spa with the bridal party getting ready — the girls in one room, the guys just down the hall — and there was a lot of energy moving through both. The ceremony and reception took place at The Treasury on the Plaza, which had just opened and this was one of its very first events. Five bridesmaids in blush, a lace long-sleeve gown with an illusion back, a four-tier white cake, first dances — the night had everything. Rain came in during the early evening and knocked out the sunset portraits we'd planned, but we kept watching, and when it cleared we slipped out to the bayfront. That post-sunset lift shot in front of the Bridge of Lions is one of the most iconic we've ever taken.

There are plenty more where these came from — and if you're planning your own wedding, we'd love to hear about it.
