Intimate moments deserve photographers who understand that less can mean more
Rob & Jill — Your Elopement Photographers
For Those Who Want the Day to Feel Like Theirs
Elopement. Micro Wedding. Intimate Wedding Ceremony. Whatever you call it, we love celebrations that center on you. Whether it's just the two of you on a quiet beach at sunrise or 30 of your closest people in the Lightner courtyard downtown — we can help you pick the perfect spots, the best time of day, and get comfortable in front of the camera so that everything looks amazing.
Working together as a husband-and-wife team gives us an advantage. Rob focuses on the technical side of things while Jill, who is the heart of the operation, makes sure that every detail is perfect, that you feel amazing, and that everything runs on time. An intimate celebration means more meaningful moments: a look, a laugh, the quiet details that can go unnoticed in a bigger, busier day.

What It's Like Working with Us
Every couple is different, and that's what keeps this work exciting. We're your guides — whether you want a private exchange of vows tucked between the sand dunes at Anastasia State Park or an intimate celebration in a downtown St. Augustine courtyard, we've been doing this for over a decade. We know the light, the weather patterns, the right spots at every hour. That experience shows in your photos. Our approach is simple: we stay close, we stay quiet, and we capture what's real.

Elopements, Micro Weddings & Intimate Celebrations
Whether you call it an elopement, a micro wedding, or a tiny wedding—it's all the same idea: skip the big production and focus on what matters. Two people, a handful of your favorite humans (or none at all), and a day that actually feels like you. We photograph all of them the same way.
We've seen every version of this—courthouse vows with two witnesses, sunset beach celebrations with a dozen guests, and backyard micro weddings with a full dinner afterward. Your photos will look the same whether you invited 5 people or 500.
If you're just starting to plan, our guide covers everything from permits to your timeline. We also offer packages that include officiant services, florals, and day-of coordination—so you can book one team and check everything off your list. Not sure which package fits? Most people go with our Classic—it gives enough time for coverage and couple's portraits at two to three locations. If you want a team that handles everything, the All-Inclusive is for you. Check our guide for details, or reach out and we'll help you figure it out.
Most of our couples are planning from out of town, so we handle more than photography. Jill is an ordained officiant, we coordinate florals and boutonnieres, and we take care of permits for beach, park, and downtown locations. After over a decade and 600+ weddings here, we've built relationships with the officiants, florists, and planners who do this well—and we'll connect you with the right people if our All-Inclusive isn't the fit. One planning call with us and your vendor list is done.
St. Augustine Elopement FAQ
Common questions about eloping in St. Augustine
We recommend booking 2-3 months in advance for the best selection of dates and times. That said, we've photographed same-week elopements—it never hurts to reach out even with short notice. Peak season (October-May) books faster, so plan accordingly if you have a specific date in mind.
It depends on location. Public beaches and downtown St. Augustine don't require permits for small gatherings. State parks (Anastasia, Washington Oaks), the St. Augustine Lighthouse, and some venues like the Lightner Museum courtyard require permits. We'll help you navigate what's needed based on your chosen spot.
Yes! Florida has no waiting period for out-of-state couples. You can get your marriage license at the St. Johns County Clerk's office and get married the same day. Florida residents have a 3-day waiting period unless you complete a premarital course. We help with destination elopement planning all the time.
Florida weather doesn't always cooperate—we've seen sideways rain hit moments before vows. When that happens, we go into action with solutions, not questions. 'We can wait and see if this blows past, or move to this covered courtyard—it'll actually create a more intimate feel.' Downtown St. Augustine has beautiful backup spots. Afternoon storms typically pass within 30-60 minutes, and some of our favorite light happens right after.
Absolutely. Modern elopements range from just the two of you to 50+ guests. It's about the vibe, not the headcount. Our coverage options work for any size—we'll help you figure out what makes sense for your plans.
We help with everything. Location scouting, timeline building, officiant recommendations, permit guidance, weather backup plans. You focus on getting married; we'll handle the logistics.
Honestly, not much. An elopement is typically just the couple (plus a photographer and officiant), while a micro wedding usually includes a small guest list—under 20 or so. The feel is the same either way. We use 'elopement' as shorthand for all of it.
Yes! We photograph elopements throughout Northeast Florida—same team, same style. See our Jacksonville elopement photography and Amelia Island elopement photography pages for details.
