Hammock Dunes Wedding Venue Photo Guide

A photographer's guide to Palm Coast's Distinguished Emerald Club oceanfront venue

About Hammock Dunes Club

A Hammock Dunes wedding at this exclusive Club puts you at one of just 38 Distinguished Emerald Clubs in the world, sitting right on the Atlantic in Palm Coast with oceanfront ceremonies and top-tier service.

The 40,000 sq ft Links Clubhouse sits directly on the ocean. It has indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. Want a lawn ceremony or a ballroom party? Both work here.

Spaces at Hammock Dunes Club

Event Lawn Oceanfront ceremony space with panoramic Atlantic views, directly in front of the dune walk-over to the beach
Oceanview Ballroom Elegant indoor reception with ocean views from every seat and a circular, inlaid dance floor
Outdoor Patio Spacious open-air space where cocktail hour is hosted
Beach Access A dune walk-over puts the beach just steps away for portraits

Why We Love Hammock Dunes Club

The ceremony lawn is one of the cleanest backdrops we work with. Just the Atlantic and open sky - nothing to compete with the couple. That keeps portraits feeling timeless. And since it's a private club, no crowds walk through your ceremony.

The variety keeps your gallery fresh. We move from the beach to the grounds to the ballroom - all without driving. The covered terraces work well for candid shots and give us soft, even light.

The light works well here. The event lawn and beach face east toward the Atlantic, so the sun rises over the water and sets inland behind the clubhouse. That means no squinting into direct sun during a late-afternoon ceremony — couples facing the ocean get soft, even front light, and the eastern sky still glows warm near sunset.

Best Photo Locations

Oceanfront Ceremony Area

Oceanfront event lawn with Atlantic views and open sky, directly in front of the dune walk-over to the beach. The east-facing lawn gives soft, even light through the afternoon.

Oceanview Ballroom

The Oceanview Ballroom has panoramic Atlantic views from every seat and a circular, inlaid dance floor. Large windows give soft indoor light for elegant portraits.

Beach Access

A dune walk-over off the event lawn puts the beach just steps away. Sand and ocean waves create dynamic backgrounds. The ocean faces east, so the sky over the water glows warm in the late afternoon.

Clubhouse Grounds

Large clubhouse grounds with mature plants, building details, and varied light across the property.

Outdoor Patio

Spacious outdoor patio where cocktail hour is hosted, with ocean breezes. Mixed natural and building light creates nice portrait options.

Golf Course Backdrop

Golf course views with trimmed greens and water features. Open light and varied height for wide portraits.

Planning Your Timeline at Hammock Dunes Club

We don’t publish generic timelines. They’re useless without knowing your date. Here’s why:

December
5:30 PM
sunset
June
8:30 PM
sunset

A 5pm ceremony works great in summer. In winter, it means dark portraits. Your timeline must match your actual date and what matters most to you.

Lighting & Golden Hour

Private club setting with ocean views. The beach and grounds offer varied lighting throughout the day.

Time for Photos

We recommend 60-75 minutes for portraits at Hammock Dunes Club, covering the beach, clubhouse, grounds, and golf course views.

Venue Timing Notes
