We've been doing commercial work for LeGrand since 2020, and somewhere in there he stopped being just a teammate. He's a friend and a mentor. When LeGrand calls, we pick up the phone and say yes — usually before we've asked what the job is.
His work assignments have taken us to skyscrapers in Philly, the jungles of Puerto Rico, and the swamps right here in Florida.
That range is the whole point. Most photographers spend a career inside one kind of room. Working his assignments has put us on a high floor in Philadelphia one month and knee-deep somewhere in Florida the next, and every one of those days has made us better at the job.
About Michael LeGrand
Photographer and cinematographer, based in St. Augustine
Michael LeGrand has over 20 years of experience making brand-driven photography and video for corporate, commercial, advertising, architectural, healthcare, nonprofit, and editorial clients. Based in St. Augustine, he works locally and nationwide with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to universities, healthcare systems, agencies, and nonprofits. His photography spans commercial and campaign work, architectural photography, corporate headshots and executive portraits, and editorial and documentary assignments — which have included nationally televised political debates, athletic events, fashion brands, musicians, and long-form documentary subjects.
On the motion side he works as a freelance director of photography and camera operator as well as producing complete projects, covering art direction, filming, editing, storyboarding, audio, and crew management. He is an FAA Part 107 licensed and insured drone pilot and has been flying commercial aerial work since 2014.
