Jade Violet Wedding & Event Floral Boutique is a St. Augustine floral design studio founded in 2013 by owner and lead designer Nulita Loder. Nulita brings more than 25 years of floral design experience to the shop — she previously owned Love In Bloom Florist in Key West for eight years, and before that worked for event florists in Philadelphia.

The studio takes on custom floral design for weddings and events at any budget, and the service goes beyond the arrangements themselves: on-site setup, moving florals from ceremony to reception, full breakdown and pickup of rental pieces like vases and pedestals, and even donating leftover flowers to local nursing homes. Booking runs through a complimentary consultation, a personalized itemized quote, and a $500 deposit to hold the date.

We recently photographed Anna and Rafael's wedding at The Treasury on the Plaza, where Jade Violet built Anna's bouquet — white orchids and cream hydrangeas against green foliage — and dressed the ceremony arch in greenery, white roses, and red blooms flanked by candles. That's the kind of work that gives us a lot to shoot: an arch with real color and depth reads beautifully in wide ceremony shots, and a bouquet with that much texture holds up in every close-up portrait for the rest of the day.
