A St. Augustine photo and video studio
First Sight Films is a St. Augustine photo and video production studio run by Diego and Dr. Trista Brophy Cerquera, a husband-and-wife team. Diego is co-founder and creative director and handles creative direction, cinematography, and editing; Trista is co-founder and managing director and runs strategy, client communication, and project coordination. Diego moved to St. Augustine in 2003 and spent years as a registered nurse at Flagler Hospital (now UF Health St. Johns) before going into production full time. Trista holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology from the University of Florida along with master's degrees in environmental science and global sustainability.
The studio started in 2023 and covers live events — corporate events, conferences, and festivals — plus commercial video and photography for cultural institutions, venues, and brands across Northeast Florida. Their site lists three years in business, 50+ events, 100+ shoots, and a 5.0 rating across 46 Google reviews, with work for the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Flagler College, St. Johns County cultural events, and the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
