How to transfer favorites from CamRanger to Lightroom

An AI depiction of favorites being transferred from CamRanger to Lightroom. In reality it does not look this neat but it is VERY cool.

CamRanger is an incredibly useful tool that allows photographers and their clients to view images in real time as they are being captured during a photo session. One of the most significant challenges we have encountered is when clients express a desire to favorite their images on set, asking us to work from that curated favorites list for their selection. In the past, we often found ourselves painstakingly copying down a favorites list by hand or inputting it into a spreadsheet; however, this method was not entirely reliable and proved to be quite time-consuming. To streamline this process, I dedicated time to develop a system where the favorites that CamRanger conveniently stores in the transmitter can be matched up to their corresponding RAW files. This allows for a much quicker selection process when determining which images need to be edited and delivered to the client.

Although the software is still currently in its beta phase, I am confident that a final version will be ready within just a few months. You can stay updated on the latest status and developments here.
