The bridal party spent the morning getting ready at a charming Airbnb. Matt looked sharp in his Navy dress uniform. Nicole shared a first look with her dad, an emotional moment that set the tone for the afternoon. The ceremony took place on the rooftop of the White Room, where their close family and friends witnessed their vows against a picturesque view of the bayfront. During the reception, the couple snuck away to capture a few romantic photos amid the enchanting Nights of Lights. As the night came to a close, they enjoyed a magical sparkler exit, surrounded by their loved ones.

Meg, whom we first met while she was studying communications at Flagler College, embarked on travels through Australia and Asia after graduation. Upon returning to the U.S., she joined our team for a summer and became the best assistant we've ever had. That same year, she met Nate in Jacksonville. After the Navy relocated them to Hawaii and then New Orleans, Meg opened her own photography studio called Melleaux Photo. When she asked us to photograph her wedding, we were thrilled. The preparations took place at the stylish Virgin Hotel, and the couple exchanged vows at the picturesque Swoop Duggins house. The magical celebration included dancing, drinks with close friends, a New Orleans Second Line, and tarot card readings.

Downtown Jacksonville | Engagement session | Love | Megan + Scott

I love getting to photograph love in new locations and when Megan asked me if I had any ideas for downtown Jacksonville I did my best to contain my excitement. Before moving to St. Augustine 10 years ago I lived in Jacksonville for a short while - and I very much consider it to be our bigger and brighter sister city. 

We had to stretch our session a little bit to get in as many of the amazing locations of downtown that we possibly could - and when I saw this photograph with the Jacksonville skyline and the Main Street Bridge in the background I knew it the extra hustle was worth it. :)

For the last couple of weeks or so St. Augustine has been mired in a chilly, rainy, fog - weather that made for a wonderfully moody backdrop for Kelly and Lorn's engagement session. We hid inside of the Lightner Museum and Flagler college before deciding to step outside and play in in rain a bit when we saw this beautiful setting in front of the historic Casa Monica Hotel.
