The decision to have a courthouse wedding reflected their focus on what truly matters—each other. Surrounded by the warmth of a few close witnesses, including myself, they exchanged vows that felt both personal and timeless. This minimalistic celebration allowed the essence of their love to take center stage, free from distractions and frills. I captured a handful of candid photos, preserving the sincerity of the moment and the joy shared between them. It was a beautiful reminder that, at the heart of every wedding, there’s a story about two people making a lifelong commitment, no matter the setting or attire. David and Dani’s day was a testament to the beauty of keeping things simple and meaningful.

Meg, whom we first met while she was studying communications at Flagler College, embarked on travels through Australia and Asia after graduation. Upon returning to the U.S., she joined our team for a summer and became the best assistant we've ever had. That same year, she met Nate in Jacksonville. After the Navy relocated them to Hawaii and then New Orleans, Meg opened her own photography studio called Melleaux Photo. When she asked us to photograph her wedding, we were thrilled. The preparations took place at the stylish Virgin Hotel, and the couple exchanged vows at the picturesque Swoop Duggins house. The magical celebration included dancing, drinks with close friends, a New Orleans Second Line, and tarot card readings.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer | Teach it Tuesday.
This episode of Teach It Tuesday I am showing how to use several exposures, taken at different times of day, can be merged into a single photo.
And here is the final image.
St. Augustine Photographer | 4th of July fireworks in St. Augustine over the Castillo
I felt pretty lucky to have the 4th of July off this year and took advantage of the opportunity to brave downtown. I hope the internet has room for one more fireworks photo:
I am a wedding photographer based in St. Augustine, Florida. Photographing landscapes (and fireworks) is a hobby of mine. Preparing for this photo required several trips to about 12 target locations to find the best spot, where to stand, and what lens to use. On the 4th, I arrived several hours early to save my spot and to photograph the sky as well as the Fort as the sun went down (to bring out additional detail), and layered in several fireworks frames into this single image. This image is the product of about 20 hours of work. If you would like a print or to use a digital version of the photo, please contact me and let me know!
