I am getting to enjoy a little Summer break before the schedule gets really crazy again in a couple of weeks. Here are a few of my favorite sessions that I worked on this week.

The last several weeks have been insane and I have neglected to do my wrap up… while this week was no different, the move to the new host allowed me to write these blog posts from my tablet while traveling, YAY! Here are a few of my favorites from this week.

This weeks photo was taken in an abandoned schoolhouse near downtown Jaksonville.

I used my Nikon D700 with a Nikon 50mm prime stopped all the way down to f/1.4. There is a lot of debate about shooting at f/1.4 especially at this distance because of the reduction in sharpness but I really wanted to push my depth in the foreground (and background) as much as possible.

Part one of the getaway to the keys. Some of my first memories as a child were the long (and a little scary) car ride to Key West to see my grandparents each summer. Being able to take my kids on the same adventure is a real blessing.

Celebrating two years. I got an email from Tumblr today letting me know I was celebrating my second birthday so I thought it would be fun to take a look at what I was doing in June 2 years ago. As you can see, my formula hasn’t changed much: weddings, family and awesome photos.
